ye bālabhāvānna paṭhanti vidyāṃ ye yauvanasthā hyadhanātmadārāḥ /
te śocanīyā iha jīvaloke manuṣyarūpeṇa mṛgāścaranti //
Those who, out of childishness, do not study learning, [and] who, remaining in youth, are destitute of wealth and wives— / they are to be pitied here in the world of living beings; they roam about like beasts in human form.
