savyasya tasya cāṅguṣṭho yaḥ sa uddhaḥ prakīrtitaḥ /
tisraḥ sādhāraṇā hyetā mūrtibhedena kalpitāḥ //

and that thumb of the right [hand] which is raised is celebrated [as the mudrā]. / These three are indeed common [mudrās], devised according to the distinction of the forms.
