te cārthavantaṃ punarāśrayanti hyartho hi loke puruṣasya bandhuḥ //
Friends, sons, wives, and well-wishers abandon one bereft of wealth; / and they resort again to one possessing wealth; for in this world, wealth is a man’s true kin.
