nāprāptakālo mriyate viddhaḥ śaraśatairapi /
kuśāgreṇa tu saṃspṛṣṭaṃ prāptakālo na jīvati //
One whose time has not arrived does not die, even if pierced by hundreds of arrows; / but touched merely by the tip of a kuśa blade, one whose time has arrived does not live.
