yamo 'pi vijayāmāha gṛhasthā bhava me pure /
noddhāṭayānyatragate yame sā na tathākarot /
apaśyanmātaraṃ svāṃ sā pāśayātanayā sthitām //
Yama also said to Vijayā: "Be the mistress of the house in my city. / Do not open [this door]." When Yama went elsewhere, she did not act thus. / She saw her own mother standing, suffering torture in nooses.
