duṣṭāmānnairatiślaiṣmagrahairjanmarkṣapīḍanāt /
mithyāyogācca vividhātpāpānāñca niṣevaṇāt /
strīṇāṃ prasavavaiṣamyāttathā mithyopacārataḥ //

by spoiled and raw foods, by excessive phlegm, by planets, by affliction of the birth constellation, / by various improper conjunctions, by indulgence in sinful deeds, / by complications in childbirth in women, and by wrong treatment;
