nivartate punaścaiva pratyanīkabalābalaḥ /
kṣīṇadoṣo jvaraḥ sūkṣmo rasādiṣveva līyate //
and then it subsides again, [its power fluctuating] according to the strength or weakness of the opposing forces. / When its dosha is weakened, the subtle fever merges into the plasma and other tissues.
