yacca rājā ca yakṣmā ca rājayakṣmā tato mataḥ /
dehauṣadhakṣayakṛteḥ kṣayastatsambhavācca saḥ //

and because it is both a king and consumption, it is therefore considered royal consumption. / Because it causes the wasting of bodily tissues and remedies, and because it arises therefrom, it is wasting;
