pāpmabhiḥ karmabhiḥ sadyaḥ prāktanaiḥ preritāmalāḥ /
śirāḥ prapadya tairyuktāstvagvasāraktamāmiṣam //

Impelled at once by sinful actions performed in past lives, the impurities [doṣas]
reach the channels, and united with them, corrupt the skin, fat, blood, and flesh;
