Wearing a conch shell, lotus seeds, rudrākṣa, vacā, iron, and the like [protects]. / “Oṃ kaṃ ṭaṃ yaṃ gaṃ, homage to the son of Vinatā. / Oṃ hoṃ hāṃ haḥ”—with this mantra, pacification for children comes about through cleansing and offering oblations: / “Oṃ hrīṃ! Grasp the oblation from the child-seizer, release the child, svāhā!”
