īśaviṣṇavarkadevyādikavacaṃ sarvasādhakam /
amṛteśaṃ mahāmantrantryakṣaraṃ pūjanaṃ samam /
japanānmṛtyuhīnāḥ syuḥ sarvapāpavivarjitāḥ //
It is the armour of Śiva, Viṣṇu, the Sun, the Goddess, and the rest, accomplishing all things, / the great three-syllable mantra of Amṛteśa, whose worship is equal [to all others]. / Through its recitation men become free from death and released from all sins.
