viṣṇukrāntāmūlamīśa karṇabaddhantu dhārayet /
paṭṭasūtreṇa bhūteśa makarādibhayaṃ na vai //
One should wear the root of viṣṇukrāntā tied to the ear / with a silk thread, O Lord, O Lord of Bhūtas: there will be no fear of crocodiles and the like.
