śṛṇu sūta ! pravakṣyāmi purāṇaṃ gāruḍaṃ tava /
saha nāradadakṣādyairbrahmā māmuktavānyathā //
Vyāsa said:
Listen, O Sūta! I shall tell you the Garuḍa Purāṇa,
just as Brahmā, together with Nārada, Dakṣa, and others, told it to me.
