caturyugasahasrānte brāhmo naimittiko layaḥ /
anāvṛṣṭiśca kalpānte jāyate śatavārṣikī //
Sūta said: / At the end of a thousand cycles of the four ages, the conditional dissolution belonging to Brahmā takes place; / and at the end of the kalpa, a drought lasting a hundred years occurs.
