nityaśrāddhaṃ taduddiśya pitṛyajño gatipradaḥ //
One should feed a single brāhmaṇa on behalf of the ancestors, O best of men; / that daily śrāddha offered on their behalf is the sacrifice to the ancestors, granting a good destination.
