śudhyenmāsena vai śūdro yatīnāṃ nāsti pātakam /
rātribhirmāsatulyābhirgarbhastrāveṣu śaucakam //
and a śūdra is purified in a month; ascetics incur no taint. / In miscarriages, purification is attained in as many nights as the months [of gestation].
