trigartanīlakolāta (bha) brahmaputrāḥ saṭaṅkaṇāḥ /
abhīṣāhāḥ sakāśmīrā udakparveṇa kīrtitāḥ //
The Trigartas, Nīlas, Kolātas, Brahmaputras, along with the Ṭaṅkaṇas, / the Abhīṣāhas, along with the Kāśmīras, are celebrated in the north-east.

iti śrīgāruḍe mahāpurāṇe pūrvakhaṇḍe prathamāṃśākhye ācārakāṇḍe bhuvanakośavarṇanaṃ nāma pañcapañcāśattamo 'dhyāyaḥ
