ṣaṣṭhivarṣāyuṣaṃ kuryādāyūrekhā tu mānavam //
Reaching from the little finger up to the middle finger, / the lifeline grants a human being a life of sixty years.

iti śrīgāruḍe mahāpurāṇe pūrvakhaṇḍe prathamāṃśākhye ācārakāṇḍe jyotiḥ śāstre sāmudrike puṃllakṣaṇanirūpaṇaṃ nāma triṣaṣṭitamo 'dhyāyaḥ
