śrīgaruḍamahāpurāṇam- 69
sūta uvāca /
dvipendrajīmūtavarāhaśaṅkhamatsyāhiśuktyudbhavaveṇujāni /
muktāphalāni prathitāni loke teṣāṃ ca śuktyudbhavameva bhūri //

Sūta said: / Originating from elephant kings, clouds, boars, conches, fish, serpents, and oysters, and born from bamboo: / such are the pearls renowned in the world, and among them, those born from oysters are indeed abundant.
