mataṅgajāścāpi viśuddhavaṃśyāste mauktikānāṃ prabhavāḥ pradiṣṭāḥ //
Conches which are in the lineage of the supreme conch drunk by contact with the mouth of Śārṅgin, / and elephants of pure pedigree: these are declared the origins of pearls.
