godāvarī mahātīrthaṃ payoṣṇī varadā nadī /
vindhyaḥ pāpaharaṃ tīrthaṃ narmadābheda uttamaḥ //

the Godāvarī is a great sacred site, as are the rivers Payoṣṇī and Varadā; / the Vindhya is a sin-removing sacred site, and the confluence of the Narmadā is excellent;
