vārāṇasī paraṃ tīrthaṃ viśveśo yatra keśavaḥ //
Through worshipping it and offering piṇḍas there, it conquers the sins of men and grants their desires; / Vārāṇasī is the supreme sacred site, where Keśava is Viśveśa.
