vṛddhārtānāṃ samādeyaḥ panthā vai bhāravāhinām /
ijyādhyayanadānāni vaiśyasya kṣattriyasya ca //
The path must indeed be yielded to the aged, the afflicted, and those carrying loads. / Sacrificing, study of the Vedas, and giving gifts are the duties of the vaiśya and the kṣatriya.
