kiñcinnyūne tato varṣe sārdhe caikādaśe 'tha vā /
yāti śītapuraṃ tatra śītaṃ yatrātiduḥ khadam //

Then, at a little less than a year, or at eleven and a half months, / he goes to the city of Śītapura, where the cold brings extreme suffering.
