śrībhagavānuvāca /
gṛhṇāti varuṇo dānaṃ mama haste prayacchati /
ahaṃ ca bhāskare deve bhāskarātso 'śnute sukham //

The Blessed Lord said: / Varuṇa receives the gift and places it in my hand, / and I place it with the divine Sun; from the Sun he enjoys happiness.
