Thus ends the second chapter, named 'Description of the Rites for the Dead and the Maturation of Actions', in the Pretakhaṇḍa, in the second part of the Uttarakhaṇḍa of the glorious Garuḍa Mahāpurāṇa, in the dialogue between Śrī Kṛṣṇa and Garuḍa.
