asatyavādanirato naraḥ pretaiḥ sa pīḍyate /
kalau pretatvamāpnoti tārkṣyāśuddhakriyāparaḥ //
One fallen from all rites, an atheist, a reviler of dharma, / a person intent on speaking untruth, is afflicted by ghosts; / in the Kali age, O Tārkṣya, one devoted to impure acts attains ghosthood.
