nākāle mriyate kaściditi vedānuśāsanam /
kasmānmṛtyumavāpnoti rājā vā śrotriyopi vā //
The glorious Garuḍa Purāṇa, [chapter] 24.
Garuḍa said: / 'No one dies untimely'—such is the injunction of the Veda. / Why then does a king or a Vedic scholar meet with death?
