poṣyavarge tathā strīṣu dānaṃ deyamakalpitam /
āture voparāge ca dvayaṃ dānaṃ viśiṣyate /
āture dīyate dānaṃ tatkāle copatiṣṭhati //
To the circle of dependents and to women, an unordained gift should be given. / During illness or during an eclipse, the two gifts are distinguished; / a gift given in illness serves [the person] at that very time.
