punaśca tadvanmaraṇaṃ janma prāpnoti mānavaḥ /
tataḥ saṃsāracakre 'smin bhrāmyate ghaṭayantravat //
And again, just so, a human attains death and birth; / then it is whirled around in this wheel of saṃsāra like a water-wheel.
