asthānikāpi yā vyūḍhā vaiśyā vā kṣattriyāpi vā /
yāḥ patnyo vai pituḥ kaścit kuryāt putraḥ sapiṇḍanam //
Even an improper wife who was married, whether a vaiśyā or a kṣatriyā— / whichever wives of the father there are, a son should perform their sapindification.
