iti śrīgāruḍe mahāpurāṇe uttarakhaṇḍe dvitīyāṃśe dharmakāṇḍe pretakalpe śrīkṛṣṇagaruḍasaṃvāde aurdhvadehikādinirūpaṇaṃ nāma catustriṃśo 'dhyāyaḥ

Thus ends the thirty-fourth chapter, entitled "Ascertainment of Post-Mortem Rites and Related Matters," in the dialogue between Śrī Kṛṣṇa and Garuḍa in the Pretakalpa of the Dharmakāṇḍa, the second section of the Uttarakhaṇḍa of the glorious Garuḍa Mahāpurāṇa.
