āśaucaṃ yāvadetasya tāvat piṇḍodakakriyā /
caturṇāmapi varṇānāmeṣa eva vidhiḥ smṛtaḥ //
As long as the ritual impurity lasts for him, so long the offering of rice-balls and water [continues]; / this very rule is taught for all four castes.
