tasmādanaśanaṃ nṝṇāṃ vaikuṇṭhapadadāyakam /
tasmāt svasthe cottare vā sādhayenmokṣalakṣaṇam //
Therefore fasting [unto death] grants the abode of Vaikuṇṭha to mortals; / therefore, whether healthy or at the very end, one should accomplish the mark of liberation.
