tato mṛtasya sthāne vai ekoddiṣṭaṃ samācaret //
Having clothed it in an unwashed garment, he should sprinkle the body with sandalwood paste; / then indeed, at the place of the deceased, he should perform the ekoddiṣṭa rite.
