viprānāvāhayetpañca caturvedaviśāradān /
vidyāśīlaguṇopetānsva kīyāñchīlasattamān /
abyaṅgānsapraśastāṃśca na t varjyānkadācana //
He should invite five brāhmaṇas who are masters of the four Vedas, / endowed with learning and virtuous conduct, from his own circle, best in virtue, / unblemished and renowned; they should never be rejected.
