2.45.20

pratyāgataścejjānāti tatra vṛttaṃ gṛhī tathā /
āśaucaṃ gṛhiṇasteṣāṃ na dravyādestadā bhavet //

if the householder returns and learns of the event that took place,
impurity attaches to the householder and to them, but not to the materials [already gathered].
