ekoddiṣṭaṃ sutaiḥ kāryaṃ kṣayāha iti kecana //
Whether without the sacred fires or maintaining the sacred fires, whether sons or fathers, / the rite for a single deceased ancestor should be performed by the sons on the day of death—so say some.
