prajñāhīnasya paṭhanaṃ yathāndhasya ca darpaṇam /
ataḥ prajñāvatāṃ śāstraṃ tattvajñānasya lakṣaṇam //
Reading for one devoid of wisdom is like a mirror for a blind man;
therefore, for those endowed with wisdom, scripture is a sign of the knowledge of the truth.
