evaṃ dagdhvā naraṃ pretaṃ snātvā kṛtvā tilodakam /
agrataḥ strījano gacchedvrajeyuḥ pṛṣṭhato narāḥ //
The venerable Garuḍa Mahāpurāṇa—[Chapter] 5. / The Blessed Kṛṣṇa said: / Having burned the deceased person in this way, having bathed and offered sesame water, / the women should go in front and the men should walk behind.
