na nityadānaṃ na gavāhnikaṃ kṛtaṃ pustaṃ ca dattaṃ na hi vedaśāstrayoḥ /
purāṇadṛṣṭo na hi sevito 'dhvā śarīra he nistara yattvayā kṛtam //
'No daily gift was given, no daily food given to cattle, nor was a book of the Veda and śāstras given; / the path taught by the Purāṇas was never pursued! O body, suffer what was done by you!'
