mayā na dattaṃ na hutaṃ hutāśane tapo na taptaṃ himaśailagahvare /
na sevitaṃ gāṅgamaho mahājalaṃ śarīra he nistara yattvayā kṛtam //
'Nothing was given by me, no oblation made into the sacrificial fire, no austerity practiced in a cavern of the snowy mountain, / the great water of the Gaṅgā, alas, was never frequented! O body, suffer what was done by you!'
