kutra yāmi na hi gāmi jīvitaṃ hā mṛtasya maraṇaṃ punarna vai /
itthameva vilapan prayātyasau yātanārhadhṛtavigrahaḥ pati //
‘Where do I go? I cannot walk! Alas, life has gone; for one dead, there is indeed no second death!’ / Lamenting in this very way, having assumed a body fit for torture, the traveler proceeds on the path.
