iti śrīgāruḍe mahāpurāṇe uttarakhaṇḍe dvitīyāṃśe dharmakāṇḍe pretakalpe śrīkṛṣṇagaruḍasaṃvāde varṣakṛtyayamalokamārgayātanādinirūpaṇaṃ nāma pañcamo 'dhyāyaḥ

Thus ends the fifth chapter, titled ‘Description of the Annual Rites, the Path to the Realm of Yama, the Torments, and so forth,’ in the dialogue between Śrī Kṛṣṇa and Garuḍa, in the Pretakalpa of the Dharmakāṇḍa, the second part of the Uttarakhaṇḍa of the glorious Garuḍa Mahāpurāṇa.
