vakraṃ nakraṃ cakrapātena dūre kṛtvā hṛtvā tasya duḥ khaṃ mukundaḥ /
mātaṅgaṃ yo 'mūmucannakravaktrātpāśaṃso 'sau karmaṇāṃ me lunātu //
'Mukunda who, striking the crooked crocodile from afar with the fall of his discus, taking away its distress, / freed the elephant from the jaws of the crocodile—may he sever this snare of my past actions!
