stotraistuṣṭāva pakṣīśa daṇḍavatpraṇanāma mām /
te 'pi tepustataḥ pretā āścaryotphullacakṣuṣaḥ //

praised [Me] with hymns, O King of Birds, and bowed down to Me like a staff. / Then those pretas too performed penance, their eyes wide with wonder;
