anyāni viṣṇoḥ pratipādakāni sarvāṇi te sāttvikānīti cāhuḥ /
śrāvyāṇi tānyeva manuṣyaloke śrāvyāṇi nānyāni ca duḥ khadāni //
All other texts that expound Viṣṇu, they declare to be sāttvika. / Only those are to be heard in the mortal world; others, which give suffering, must not be heard.
