ato vyāsaṃ namaskuryādgranthakartṛtvahetutaḥ /
śaunaka uvāca /
vyāsasya namanaṃ hyante kathaṃ kāryaṃ mahātmanaḥ //
Therefore one should bow to Vyāsa because he is the author of the work.
Śaunaka said:
Why indeed is obeisance to the noble Vyāsa to be performed at the end?
