tatrāpi kāraṇaṃ vakṣye sādareṇa munīśvarāḥ /
vyāsastu kaścana ṛṣiḥ purāṇe tāmase smṛtaḥ //

There too I shall explain the reason with reverence, O lords of sages:
Vyāsa is remembered as some [mere] sage in the tāmasa Purāṇas.
