ataḥ kaliḥ sadā duḥ khī sukhī vāyustu sarvadā /
manuṣyāṇā mṛṣīṇāṃ ca sukhaṃ duḥ khaṃ khageśvara //

Therefore Kali is ever sorrowful, while Vāyu is ever joyful; / but for humans and ṛṣis, O Lord of Birds, there is both joy and sorrow.
